07:48 pm - Stuff
So, I have had a headache for a week, actually (don't call me shirley) it is more of a head pain, the back of my right eyeball is burning, it is making both eyes dry and itchy, sleep is almost a memory, and I am somewhat of a zombie.

I went to the doctors after 4 days....and now I have some serious painkillers (they do dull the ache a bit, but leave me feeling very disconnected and spaceyish) and an appointment to have my head scanned on monday.

What I had thought/hoped to be just hayfever, may be something more.... serious

Okay, I admit it, I am scared silly

After lots of form filling in, gnashing of teeth, queue waiting, wailing, emptying of pockets, more gnashing, more queuing , more pocket emptying and still more queue waiting, my bike finally has WA registration YAY!

Sheesh, after the amount of hoops I have jumped through, I ought to run away and join the circus :P

But all is good, I have my baby back...........now where shall I ride to first?

09:13 pm - Frustration....
well, if the next time you see me I have no hair and no teeth, blame my Sydney!

no seriously, I am tearing my mane out and grinding my fangs to stubs. If I had known, what I know now, about my job I would have demanded more money.

As it is I have decided to stop worrying about things, I am so not paid enough to do a managers job for shop floor wages.

The company incentive scheme is a scam...... it will be a very cold day in an unmentionable level of the below worlds before I can even come close to getting anything, so I am not even going to try...... which is a really stupid thing..if the company had made the scheme within a realistic target, I 'would' have gone the extra mile...but come on.....$284 in sales(before taxes) an hour o_0 you have got to be joking!

This saddens me, as I really do like this job...and I do have a knack for this sort of service.. for instance; a customer came in today for a bottle of 'Grant Burge "Menshach"' it is part of a series of three wines put out by this winery, This one alone is $125, we have just got in a special set of the three "Shadarach, Menshach and Abenago" (yes, as in three wines named after the mythical characters in a religious book) in a giant box that looks like a bible, there are only 400 world wide, this was set 268 of the 400, I told the customer this and talked about other features of this wine, and the winemaker, end of story, he took the set, Happy day for me :}

I will see how things develop over the next few months....we do have a new head buyer in Sydney, so perhaps things might change a little.

On the upside.......going out for some drinkies with workmates after work tomorrow, :}

07:15 pm - Motorbikes!
Stoled from Gotica :}

Your result for The Motorcycle Personality Test...

Harley 883 Sportster

You scored 1 moxie, -2 zeal, and 4 pomp!

You scored dead center average, lacking any of the personality quirks that normally drive people to motorcycling.

However, if you do ride, statistics would suggest that you are destined for a Harley-Davidson, probably something in the Softail line.

You might have noticed that's a lot of moolah for an (arguably) obsolete piece of machinery, and you're too rational and attitude-free to need the Biggest and Baddest that the marketeers tell you to buy. A far more reasonably priced taste of the Harley Kool-Aid is the 883 Sporty, a fun little beast that leaves you with plenty of cash to customize.

On the other hand, the only reason I'm bringing up the Harley-Davidson product line at all is due to the fact that Harley is the choice most people think of when they consider getting into motorcycling, and that's mostly because they don't know much about the alternatives.

Thought experiment: if you were the only person left on earth, and you could pick any motorcycle you wanted, what would you choose? Best looking or best engineered? Your test results don't really point in any direction strongly, so I'll try to nudge you towards substance over style.
Stoled from Gotica

Consider: a FXST Softail weighs 629lbs dry, the base version starts around $14k, and will make 75-80hp -- after you tweak it with pipes and a jet kit. A Buell XB12R weighs 395lbs dry, costs $10.5k and makes 103hp, stock. An Aprilia Tuono R weighs 417lbs, costs $12k, and makes 125hp, stock. (We won't even mention the bang for buck of the Japanese competitors.) Still a fan of retro-classic styling? Then at least consider Harley's V-Rod, which mixes in some modern engineering into the equation (596lbs, 125hp, $17k).

While the Sportster is a reasonable compromise, you may discover that you enjoy the added feedback provided by standard-style bikes such as the Suzuki SV or the Ducati Monster. (If you must hang with the Harley crowd, they'll be less likely to give you grief if you choose the Buell, though.)

You have the potential to be a great rider. Take the MSF class, and choose a bike that won't hold you back!

Take The Motorcycle Personality Test at HelloQuizzy

Speaking of bikes....I am probably going to get on of these

11:37 pm - strange
My flatmate refuses to watch 'Wall-E' cos 'Short Circuit' made her cry, and isn't real,  she also won't watch 'Titanic' cos it stars some  facename actor, and isn't real. To me one is a good film, the other is a peice of crap

hoomans are strange
 to me:

'wall-e,' clever movie, with little dialogue, but clever pictures, can convey a whole story, tugs at emotions
Titanic: cliched use of poor boy, rich girl, tugs at heart strings

mmm robots are cuter the hoomans!

09:41 pm - Wonderful Surprise
It still surprises me how far my life has come in the last 18months.......

It still surprises me how happy I am....

It still surprises me how lucky I have been to find jobs that I love.......

It still surprises me that my Snow Meow still likes to scritch my scales......and that I like to scritch his belly

Right now, I love my life, I love living in this moment, I love waking up every morning (noisy crows excepted), and knowing that today, is a good day

Life is good and moving here, was the right thing to do

If this was a movie........here is where I would burst into song,  and dance, and have little robins tweeting in the background

Less than 3 weeks till I move to Perth, and I haven't even started packing yet!. Instead I sit here posting to this journal, as that is a much more important thing to do :}

Slight panic is setting in as I have not had a single nibbles on the scooter. If I don't sell it soon, it is going to make things just a bit sticky movingwise. :{

so eeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

but on the upside...it is one day closer to being in the warmth that is Perth, and in the paws of my Snow Meow :}
